The month has brought the world bad news – from the ongoing coronavirus mutations saga, which is now bringing on the Delta and other variants as emerging threats; the deadly floods in China from July, which are still making headlines this month; the recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, which killed hundreds; and the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.; and possibly even more isolated occurrences that are not covered by the media.
I know it’s a dark time – a dark month! The world is indeed in shambles, possibly undergoing a massive overhaul. However, the cost is simply too high for many people whose lives have been lost or have been severely impacted. I’m not going to say these are signs of the end of the world! For the God I know is merciful, and he is the source of hope, salvation, and peace. So, why are all of these things happening? For the time being, these questions remain unanswered.
We chart our destinies and our choices do impact the people around us! I am not a fan of this common phrase used for validating one’s choices: “ gagawin ko kung ano ang makakapagpasaya sa akin hangga’t wala akong natatapakan na iba (I will do as I please or whatever will make me happy as long as I do not trample on other people). It’s a lame and a short-sighted excuse, in my opinion. That is why we must be mindful and only intend what is best for our highest good and the highest good of all, free of ideologies and egotistical agendas.
Meanwhile, let us look at the bright side. For this mid-month starting the 17th to the 31st of August, I pull a card from the Midnight Oracle Tarot (created by Sharon Julien, who has an Etsy shop for her handcrafted decks) for each of the zodiac signs to glean inspirations from for the rest of the month.

ARIES (21 March-20 April) – Moth
Take small steps until you reach the finish line. I see you taking different roles – possibly including ones that are entirely new to you. Please remember that you can manage to “fly” on your own without external help…although I feel for some Aries they feel resentful that they are not getting the support that they expect from other people. But this is a lesson that is honing you to be more self-reliant and patient. Do not be discouraged if during this time, things do not seem to go in your favour. I feel September through November will bring good news.

I see this ring as a portal of transformation for you Taurus …or, do you just want to be somewhere else than where you are now? Are you anxious that the “greener pasture” that you seek is not as green as you expect?
