July, the seventh month of the year, carries a powerful vibration of transformation and choice.
Seven is a destiny number, and while we are all destined for greatness, our decisions based on our free will determine how quickly or slowly we achieve success. To harness the power of July, though, we must be attentive to what our intuition tells us, especially when presented with a decision. Confusion or hesitation is our intuition telling us “no” or “not yet,” but excitement and eagerness indicate a “yes” or “worth trying” answer.
For this month’s reading, I used the Witches’ Tarot to pick a card for each zodiac sign to see what the rest of the month holds. Please note that reversed cards are indicated with an (R).

ARIES (21 March-20 April) – 6 of Swords
Aries may be returning to clean up the mess or tie up loose ends from the recent past. You are making reparations so that you can be ready for the changes that are coming, or you wish to start over. For some Aries, the card represents exhausting all possibilities or leaving no stone unturned before making a decision. The card recommends that you keep negative thoughts or even opinions at bay: do not let them prevent you from progressing. You are the master of your own destiny, Aries, and starting in July, you will not only be navigating over calmer waters, but fate will open up to you with limitless chances. If you want to advance, stay focused. Even if your emotions may be affecting your decisions right now, remain logical. Keep moving even though you feel trapped or like you are going around in circles, Aries.
It is beneficial to gather information from others in order to become more prepared for the next phase of your life, whether it be your work or your relationship. The card does caution you against over-analysing, though. The card also serves as a reminder to trust your instincts more than other people’s views.

TAURUS (21 April-20 May) – 2 of Cups (R)
You can feel unnecessarily tied to a circumstance or a relationship. You might be craving authenticity right now and preferring to let go of superficial associations, relationships, or even routines. For some Taurus, frequent “stops and starts” in relationships or business ventures are no longer enjoyable! When should you let go? The card indicates that you give it another shot. However, issue an ultimatum. There may be disagreements or divergences of opinion, but in July, you can persuade them to join your side. The card also indicates that there will be a delay in an anticipated negotiation (or a wedding or engagement) – a pause will ensure that the outcome will be favourable.

GEMINI (21 May-20 June) – King of Cups
You’re way too focused on your thoughts, Gemini! Regardless, the card indicates that you have learned to ponder before doing or saying anything. Your tact is working in your favour by making you more sensible in your actions. This month, you’re not letting your emotions get the best of you, which is great! Gemini, I believe you will have a breakthrough communication this month – or your advice will reach a bigger audience. I also believe you will be treated with respect, even if you are not aware of it. Others will perceive you as difficult to persuade – a force to be reckoned with. The card also states that you have the opportunity to conquer the world this month! It might be travel, or your area of influence will expand.

CANCER (21 June-22 July) – King of Swords
This month, Cancer, you’re taking charge of your life! You are determined, and there will be no more procrastinating! Your mantra for this month is “seize the day.” Is it because you’re feeling frustrated with the way your career or personal life is going? Are you feeling overwhelmed by the number of tasks you need to complete in such a short period of time? Instead of becoming impatient, the card advises you to examine your priorities and carry out your objectives one at a time. I envision an opportunity for some Cancers where you will be part of a think tank group or be tasked with leading a group of planners.

LEO (23 July-22 August) – Hanged Man (R)
This month, some Leos will prefer to be more introspective. However, the card indicates that if you choose to be silent or non-participatory, you are setting yourself up for disappointment or being targeted for controversy. Someone is waiting for you to make a mistake, Leo. Or perhaps someone is provoking you to make a mistake or make a gaffe. Of course, Leos dislike being pushed around! However, it is prudent to keep your thoughts or opinions to yourself this month so that critics or others with malicious intent cannot use your words against you.

VIRGO (23 August-22 September) – 2 of Swords (R)
For you, Virgo, reluctance or postponement of a decision is a highlight of July. Perhaps you want additional information beforehand, or you suspect that someone is not telling you the truth. You are correct, Virgo; someone is lying to you or some information is still hidden from you. However, the card implies that you should not obsess over the outcome of an event. Waiting will impede you from performing the job that you need to complete this month. Meanwhile, the card indicates that some Virgos are “secretly” guarding themselves. Perhaps they want to protect themselves from being victimized by deceptive individuals (whom I picture as “wolves” in my mind’s eye). You also wish to be a “fighter of truth” in some form this month. The card also indicates that, while you can be anyone you want to be this month, those “mental preoccupations” may keep you from recognizing or missing out on the real and tangible opportunities in front of you.

LIBRA (23 September-22 October) – Death
Yes, Libra, your work is far from done, but you must also slow down and recharge from time to time. Celebrate your victories, no matter how minor they are. Don’t let brief moments of fame or success get to your head. Humility will get you far. It’s also important to express gratitude to those who have helped you along the journey. For other Libras, your accomplishments, not your connections, inherited name, or status in society, may speak for who you are. Instead of living in the shadow of a powerful family member or associate, you can forge your own path. The card implies that you can also leave your own legacy.

SCORPIO (23 October-22 November) – Knight of Cups (R)
The card depicts someone attempting to contact you (or a message being conveyed to you) but being prevented from doing so. Perhaps someone is debating if it is still worthwhile to connect with you, explain their viewpoint, or request an explanation from you. This card represents fertility for other Scorpios. If you are trying to conceive, you may need to try again. Meanwhile, I see a lover leaving or an opportunity being cancelled for other Scorpios due to a lack of enthusiasm on your or the other party’s side.

SAGITTARIUS (23 November-21 December) – King of Swords
I sense impatience in the King of Swords, who wants things done quickly or to happen right away. It’s also because dissatisfaction has already built up, potentially as a result of delays or blockages in plans that don’t take off as planned. It’s also possible that you’re working on it alone because no one seems to be sharing your ideas. You should wait for a while, according to the card. July may not be the month when all of your goals come to fulfillment, but keep in mind that hard effort and persistence are rewarded. Moreover, your impatience will work against you, especially if you vent your annoyance on others.

CAPRICORN (22 December-19 January) – Knight of Wands
This month, you have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities/capabilities either publicly or to a specific person or group. You know you’ve got what it takes to get the job or accolades. When the situation calls for your presence, the card advises you to “show up.” Also, the card indicates that you are “at the right place at the right time” this month. Other Capricorns, this July is your chance to go after what you want. You may be tempted to push your luck too far, especially given how simple it is to succeed. Regardless, resist the temptation to go overboard because it will be a waste of energy if you want too much too fast.

AQUARIUS (20 January-19 February) – 5 of Swords
July will be a month of recuperation for some Aquarius who are exhausted or sick. Take the time to heal, which means relax and slow down, according to the card. Meditation and mild exercise might also help you maintain your energy levels. I also observe Aquarius recovering from past traumas. As you recover from physical or emotional illness, the card advises you to deepen your faith. If you want to give up, don’t! Continue even if your pace is slow. Your angels and the Divine will guide you.

PISCES (20 February-20 March) – Temperance (R)
When a Pisces perceives a relationship going bad, the card indicates that the partnership needs to be reevaluated. Perhaps too much familiarity has already resulted in monotony. Or one has become overly clinging or possessive. If dialogue between partners is not possible at this time, the card suggests that spending time apart will allow you to see things objectively. Your relationship is far from ideal, despite the fact that it appears to be such to you because you have the ability of seeing the bright side of everything. Other Pisces, the card indicates that you will be less of a “dreamer” in July and will be able to see your situation objectively for what it is. You will also continue working on a creative project that has been placed on hold this month. I see some of you going to bazaars, exhibitions, or even outdoor gatherings to have fun and meet new people.
